Our programs highlight the diverse American experience embodied in the Federal Road’s rich and complex history and cultural legacies through the lenses of white, African American, and Creek ancestors and descendants. Our programs foster community social cohesion and pride and attract visitors from across the U.S. to engage in welcoming and educational experiences that make them want to return for an encore of the unique attractions that Macon County has to offer.
We are inviting you to make a generous donation to support our goal to raise $60,000 over the next two months to purchase the Interpretive Center property by early 2026. With the property purchase, we can continue to offer educational history and culture programs from our location on the historic Federal Road in Warrior Stand‒‒ programs that achieve consistent cross-generational engagement among children, students, adults, and elders.

Our plans include renovating our existing Center and opening a Federal Road Interpretive & Welcome Center Complex in Warrior Stand by 2030. Just imagine hundreds of enthusiastic visitors of all ages and walks of life from across the U.S. enjoying national, state, regional, and local history and culture at the Ridge Project’s Interpretive and Welcome Center Complex. There, they will experience interactive exhibits, educational programs, and have access to a display of information about our tours, trails, and other captivating historic, cultural, recreational, and agritourism destinations throughout the whole of Macon County.
